After losing to H/WC at the annual CNDC tournament back on Dec. 1, the Rockets knew they had to work harder to push past them.     On Tuesday, Jan. 3, the New Rockford-Sheyenne Rockets hosted the Drake-Anamoose Lady Raiders. The Rockets and Lady Raiders each kicked off the game strong.  Kelsie Belquist was found pushing through Lady Raiders' defenders, scoring two field goals in the first quarter.     The New Rockford-Sheyenne Rockets made the trek to Minot on Friday, Dec. 30 to compete in the Girls' Hoopster Classic. The varsity and junior varsity Rockets played against the Beulah Miners.      Unlike the night before where the New Rockford-Sheyenne girls took down the Griggs-Midkota Lady Titans 75-29, the matchup of the NR-S boys' basketball team and the Griggs-Midkota boys' basketball team was more of a nailbiter.  Like a flash of lightning, they were off.     The New Rockford-Sheyenne Rockets hosted the Griggs-Midkota Lady Titans on Monday, December 19 for their first home game of the season.  This season looks different for the Lady Titans, who are short a senior athlete. The New Rockford-Sheyenne varsity and junior varsity teams traveled southwest to Napoleon to take on the Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter Imperials in their season opener.     The New Rockford-Sheyenne Rockets hosted the Dunseith Lady Dragons on Thursday, Oct. 6 in the NR-S gymnasium.     The Rockets were determined to keep their winning streak aflame as they traveled to Cando to take on the North Star Bearcats in their home gym. The Bearcats held their annual "Pink Out" night, with a silent auction, pumpkin walk, warrior wall and a 50/50 raffle.
