The clocks have been turned back an hour, there’s frost in the morning and it’s gotten chilly. One thing is for certain, winter is coming! We are currently waiting for it to get just a little bit colder and stay cold consistently to put up the ice rink for the season. We want to extend a HUGE shoutout to the NR-S/M Rocket Football team for an incredibly successful season this year! We just completed a tree grant, with the help of a few of Mr. Belquist’s classes, some of the city's public works crew, and Mark Lange who lent us his auger to di...
The leaves are changing, the temps are getting cooler, fall is finally here! We had our Homecoming taco bar earlier this month, and we appreciate everyone that came out to support the park board! Also, a big thank you to North American Bison, LLC for donating meat, the Rockford Café for getting us all the toppings we needed and the Eagles for letting us host there. It was a very fun night visiting with everyone and eating some yummy food. The pool is winterized for the year, so the guards will see you next year for the 2025 swimming season!...

I am extremely grateful to the board for taking the gamble on me, as I w...

The month of May has been increasingly busy with getting the pool ready, helping our maintenance crew with taking care of the parks, still learning a lot of things, banners and of course, navigating such a large role. The biggest project we’ve been tackling is the pool. At the beginning of the month we began the process of getting our pool up and running. The pool is finally clean, which means that filling the pool and getting a p...
On Friday, June 16, I had the pleasure of attending DPRCA’s production of “Life Could Be a Dream” with my mom. This is the third time DPRCA has put on this hilarious, light-hearted play, but it was my first time in the audience. The actors they cast this summer are suited perfectly for their roles, and they put on quite the performance that night. With everything from the music and choreography, to the sound and lights, DPRCA gave the community a terrific show, yet again! Danny Hollander was q...
