The North Dakota Department of Health (NDDoH) has established eight regions for medical marijuana dispensaries within the Medical Marijuana Program. The regions include a 50 mile radius surrounding eight cities within the state. The cities include: Fargo, Bismarck/Mandan, Grand Forks, Minot, Williston, Dickinson, Jamestown and Devils Lake. Elmer Faul, 99, rural Cathay, passed away Friday, January 5, 2018 at the Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd in New Rockford where he had resided since February of 2016. A private family service will be held. Elmer Faul, son of Otto and Mary (Dietz) Faul was born June 2, 1918 on the family farm in Germantown Township near Cathay where he grew up and attended a nearby country school. The 58th annual men’s bowling tournament was conducted at Wonder Lanes over the Christmas break in New Rockford, and a team of four Devils Lake bowlers set a new record in the team event.
