Roughrider Feeds, a local full-service Purina feed dealer, has recently partnered with Arrowquip to provide new equipment to livestock producers in the area, including safe and effective hydraulic and manual cattle chutes. These chutes allow ranchers to separate and safely restrain cattle in order to provide medical care or any number of necessary procedures. Last October, a group of hunters descended upon a harvested bean field for an early-morning duck hunt in eastern Eddy County, but the hunt was ruined soon after due to an altercation with a nearby landowner. The intent of this article is to honor those who lie in the graves of the New Rockford Cemetery. We remember them for who they were and the life they shared with this community. The community came together when the article was published in the New Rockford Transcript about the many unmarked graves in Eddy County. Thanks to Tubby Bymoen, donations were received for four individuals (Alex Mathews, Archie Jackson, Boyd Kennedy, Pat Malone) who were unmarked and forgotten by the community. The second week of the 68th Legislative session is coming to a close today with a number of bills beginning to hit the floor for final action. As of this morning 376 House bills have been filed.
