    The Rockets took on the Drake-Anamoose Raiders on Monday, February 1 in the New Rockford-Sheyenne gym. To start off the game, senior Cassie Longnecker drained six with teammate Dani Bjerke bringing in five. Bjerke held the top points for the Rockets with 17 total points. Longnecker came in second with 11 total points. In the second quarter, Bjerke brought in nine points to bring the Rockets to a 20-point lead on the Raiders.     The Rockets headed to Warwick on Thursday last week to take on the Lady Warriors in their home gym. The Rockets came home with a 68-25 victory. With Dani Bjerke's eight points and Cassie Longnecker's five points in the first quarter, the Rockets had a 15 point lead on the Lady Warriors.     The Rockets girls and boys basketball teams headed to Langdon on Saturday, January 30 to take on the Cardinals in their home gym. The girls basketball team was defeated 46-16 while the boys basketball team held on until the end with a loss of 55-51. The Rocket girls had a low scoring game.     The New Rockford-Sheyenne Archery season took off on Monday, January 18, and over 60 Rocket archers participated in the season's first tournament this past Saturday.     The New Rockford-Sheyenne Rockets took on the Lakota Raiders at home on Friday, January 29, and the Rockets pulled away with a 76-41 win. Evan Ulrich put up three field goals and two free throws in the first quarter to take a 14 point lead on the Raiders.     New Rockford-Sheyenne seniors Johnny Grann and Hunter Johnson have committed to play football at the University of Jamestown next fall. Grann is the son of John and Donna Grann. He was recruited as a quarterback for the University of Jamestown. Johnson is the son of August and Georgia Johnson and Rhonda Skjerva. He was recruited for the defensive line.
