    Jake Williams, son of Monte and Patty Williams, of New Rockford, is the 2019-20 academic recipient of the North Dakota State University Provost Award in the amount of $6,000.     Spring Breeding Duck Numbers Tallied The North Dakota Game and Fish Department’s 72nd annual spring breeding duck survey conducted in May showed an index of 3.4 million birds, up 20 percent from last year.
