Brand new to Eddy County 4-H this year was the 4-H Sheep Lease Program. This program offers 4-H members who may not otherwise have an opportunity to participate in a livestock enterprise with a way to carry out a livestock project. You could say the coronavirus has flatlined. As of Wednesday, July 14, Eddy County had gone 44 days without one single reported case of COVID-19. Since the pandemic began, a total of 470 cases of the virus have been reported in Eddy County, and six people have died. That means 20.55% of the population have had confirmed positive cases in the past 16 months. Students and staff at Oberon Elementary School will come back to school in a new space on Aug. 25. The new 18,000 sq. ft. school under construction on the north end of Oberon will replace the town's 100-year-old brick tri-level schoolhouse. Jeff and Denise Labrensz enjoyed the 150th anniversary of Campbell, Minn., this past weekend. Denise attended school there for her 12 years of education. Nathan Kalisch of New Rockford was stopped on March 7 at the intersection of Second Avenue and Sixth Street in New Rockford. Authorities identified him as an individual with a suspended license.
