After many years of planning and preparation, the Eddy County Rod and Gun Club shooting range is now host to the sport of trap shooting. The trap season began on Wednesday, July 24 and a large crowd stood on the sidelines ready to shoot. Aug. 27, 2019— It was during harvesting in 1913 that Fingal Enger was caught in a downpour. He wouldn’t go inside until he was certain that all the wagons were in and every horse properly tended, and he ended up catching pneumonia.
