New Rockford has a new plumbing business in town. Scott Korff, an experienced plumber with Larsen Plumbing of Carrington, N.D., has kicked off a new chapter in his career by starting his own business, called Hometown Plumbing, a few miles to the north in New Rockford. Korff is a native of Sheboygan, Wisconsin and moved to North Dakota in November of 2008. He currently lives in Woodworth, N.D. and has worked as a plumber in Carrington for over a decade. The 66th Annual Central N.D. Steam Threshers Reunion in New Rockford was another big success. New Rockford and area folks extend sympathy to the family of Pearl Eldridge. Charlotte Koepplin received a phone call from cousin Ardy Yates Birkholz recently. Fundraising for the Rockford Theatre rebuild project is approaching the halfway point. Amanda Hegland, Executive Director of the New Rockford Area Betterment Corporation (NRABC), announced Tuesday that the New Rockford Eagles Club has contributed $50,000 to the project, catapulting their fund balance for the new structure to near $250,000.
