New Rockford and area folks extend sympathy to the family of Rubie Haag.

 Friday Shirley Packard and son Calvin drove to Devils Lake, did some shopping and then enjoyed a steak supper at Spirit Lake in celebration of Calvin's 50th birthday and also enjoyed a visit with Roger Longnecker while there.

 Martin and Eloise Lucht enjoyed the Christmas holidays as guests of daughter Heidi and Jay Schneider, Caleb and Callie in Devils Lake. Especially enjoyed grandson Caleb's chocolate mint cream pie.

 Marion Larson was among family that gathered at the Bradley and Becky Larson farm of Devils Lake for an early Christmas celebration Saturday with a gift exchange. Fun was had by all.

 Ken and Marvis Holte drove to Jamestown Thursday where they met Fayette Hardy, did some shopping and enjoyed lunch bringing Fayette a holiday gift.

 Shirley Packard was among the American Legion Auxilary members who attended funeral service for Rubie Haag Friday morning at Evans Funeral Home in New Rockford. Afternoon found her and son Calvin among those who attended funeral service for Marlys Williams at First Lutheran Church in New Rockford.

 Marion Larson and Carol Edinger were Christmas guests at the Jim and Becky Edinger home of Mayville. Marion was also a guest at the Steve and Marilyn Aanderud home in Hillsboro. Tuesday Carol and Marion returned to their homes in New Rockford.

 Christmas morning visitors at the Ken and Marvis Holte home were Jerrod and Angie Holte. Christmas night the Holtes enjoyed a pot luck supper at daughter Amanda and Cody Bickett's along with a gift exchange.

 Thursday Calvin Packard and Shirley Packard drove to Carrington, did some shopping and took care of business.

 Martin Lucht was among those who attended the funeral service for Rubie Haag Friday morning at Evans Funeral Home in New Rockford. Martin enjoyed visiting with Rubie's son Harold and the rest of the Haag family. Harold is from Delaware.

 Lillian Gedrose enjoyed Christmas at the Duane and Patrice Gedrose home and family in Washburn.

 Ken and Marvis Holte enjoyed Christmas calls from Loren Holte and family of Bismarck, Bob and Ardy Yates of Arkansas, Troy and Penny Sorrells of Minnesota and James Birkholz of Minot.

 Marion Larson enjoyed a recent visit from Robert Hanson of Sheyenne. They reminisced over coffee and Christmas goodies. Pastor Natasha was a recent visitor of Marion's.

 Candy Jensen accompanied Charlotte Koepplin Friday afternoon to the funeral service of Marlys Williams at the First Lutheran Church in New Rockford

 Sunday afternoon Cody and Amanda Bickett were visitors at the Ken and Marvis Holte home. They enjoyed tea and snacks and a game of dominoes.

 Saturday afternoon found Doris Leik a visitor at the Lillian Gedrose home.
