New Rockford couple welcomes New Year's baby

His first cry sounded like a cat, his mom said.

 "But I think that's because we make a lot of animal sounds in our house," she said, smiling.

 Troy Allen Meadows was born at 8:13 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018, the first baby born at Jamestown Regional Medical Center in 2018. Welcoming him are parents Monica and William Meadows of New Rockford, N.D., and big sister, Vera, age 2.
