Precision Ag Day set for Jan. 23

Precision Ag Results welcomes producers to attend its 16th Annual Precision Ag Day on Tuesday, January 23. This year the event moves to a new location-the Cross Roads Golf Course in Carrington. This year’s presenters include Jason Webster, Troy McKown and Gary Wagner.

 The 2018 Precision Ag Day will offer attendees solutions based education. Join friends and neighbors in working through challenging problems to discover cross-functional solutions that apply to everyone in agriculture. The takeaway will be practical lessons for growers, service providers and colleagues working in similar production systems in the area.

 In addition to identifying practical solutions, the goal is for attendees to establish a grounded network that fosters communication and endures long after the day ends.

 The day will begin with refreshments and a welcome by Paul Backstrom of Precision Ag Results.

 Then Jason Webster, Commercial Agronomist for Precision Planting®, and previously an Innovative Lead and Practical Farm Research Director for Beck’s Hybrids in Illinois, will delve into general precision planting topics.

 Gary Wagner, a Crookston, MN farmer, adjunct faculty at UMN Crookston and consultant with Upper Midwest Aerospace Consortium, has been featured in numerous magazines such as Corn and Soybean Digest, Farm Journal and Dakota Farmer, will round out the morning sessions. He will discuss lessons learned from his 25 years in precision ag and “why we raise wheat!”

 A complimentary noon meal will be served with additional time reserved for networking and vendor conversations.

 The afternoon will begin with planter maintenance ideas and tips by Troy McKown, Northwest Regional Manager for Precision Planting®, and concludea with a third session for Q&A with each presenter. Door prizes will wrap up the event.
