The first half of the current bowling season ended at Wonder Lanes during the Christmas break. First half winners will bowl against the second half winners this spring for the league championship.
Adult Leagues
Winner of the women's Lucky League was the Terpening Construction (Maddock) team, with bowlers Codi Olson, Linda Ystaas and Vicky Ystaas.
The men's Striker League was won by the Bank Forward team with Austin Langley, Chance LaBrie, Alex Perleberg and Shane Wallace.
The Sunday Mixed League was won by the Cornerstone Coffee (Fessenden) team with Shantel and John Muscha and Karen and John Schmidt.
High Individual Scores
The high scores for the season thus far are topped by the individual effort of Trucker Roberts. On November 12, 2017, in the Sunday Mixed League, he bowled games of 279, 289 and 236 for a series total of 804. That is the second highest series ever bowled at Wonder Lanes! The highest ever bowled was by Todd Georgeson with an 808 on November 11, 1999.
Bowling second high series for this season is Rob Schill with 736, Rick Christianson 730, Jim Ryan 722, Todd Curtis 715, Morgan Lies 711, and Jared Schmidt with 700. High games for men are Jerry Schmidt with 298, Shane Wallace 296, Trucker Roberts 289, Todd Curtis 285, and Jim Ryan with 279.
High games for women are Nancy Arendt with 235, Mary Kay Price 232, Peggy Dockter 232, Taylor Cook 227, and Pennie Irmen with 224. High women's series honors went to Nancy Arendt with 587, Pennie Irmen 578, Mary Kay Price 574, Peggy Dockter 574, and Becky Kjos with a 565.
High individual averages for women are Pennie Irmen 168, Nancy Arendt 167, and Peggy Dockter 161. High for men are Trucker Roberts with 220, Rick Christianson 214, and Morgan Lies 209.
Junior Leagues
There are 56 junior bowlers this season participating in three different leagues, Sunday for the 12 - 19 year olds, and Monday and Tuesdays after school for the 6 - 11 year old bowlers.
The first half winners in each league bowl off against the winners of the second half of the season for the league championship this spring. The winners of each half will all receive first or second place trophies, compliments of the local Eagles Club and Eagles Ladies Auxiliary.
The winning team in the Sunday Junior/Majors league was the "Up 2 U" team consisting of Lauren Roscoe, Ashley Schuster and Nick Hovey. High game honors went to Justyne Klocke with 208 and Lauren Roscoe with 202, Zander Anglebrandt with 222 and Haydon Meier with 214. High series winners for the girls were Lauren Roscoe with 521 and Ashley Schuster 496, and Zander Anglebrandt with 569 and Nick Hovey with 564 for the boys. High averages are Lauren with 143 and Ashley 141, Zander with 167 and Nick 146.
The Monday Boys and Girls League winner was the Red-Steelers with Alex Weisenburger, Donavun McCorkle and Vinnie Ruppel. High games were recorded by Andrea Owlboy with 163 and Kaiya O'Connor with 131, and Wyatt Dockter with 143 and Zach Dockter with 138. For high series, honors went to Andrea Owlboy with 302 and Addysen Fan- drich 248, Wyatt Dockter with 243 and Zach Dockter 233. High averages were achieved by Andrea Owlboy with 113 and Addysen Fandrich with 101. The boys were led by Wyatt Dockter with 95 and Zach Dockter 82.
The Tuesday Boys and Girls winning team was Road Ragers, with Brody Weisenburger, Bennett Meier and Jacob Louters. High game winners were Ava Peterson with 156 and Logan Cudworth with 111, Brody Weisenburger 174 and Keaton Cudworth 170.
High series was won by Ava Peterson with 280 and Logan Cudworth with 204, Connor Knatterud 310 and Tom Glenn 306.
High average honors for the girls went to Ava Peterson with 111 and Logan Cudworth an 80, and for the boys Brody Weisenburger 126, and Connor Knatterud 119.
