New Rockford-Sheyenne played well overall on both ends of the court as the locals defeated Warwick by a final score of 77-50 in district boys basketball action played at Warwick on Tuesday, January 10.
The Warriors are a fairly young team with a new head coach, and they could be quite good for the next few years.
The Rockets led throughout and at all quarter stops; 19-2, 42-17, 60-35, and again chalked up a 77-50 win. All 13 Rockets saw playing time
and nine scored. Julian Hill paced Warwick with 13 points, Paul Thiele added 10. Teddy Allmaras led the Rockets with a game high 26 points; Bo Belquist added 16.
Warwick made 20 field goals, 3 of 11 free throws committed 17 fouls and had 12 turnovers. New Rockford-Sheyenne made 31 field goals, 10 of 18 free throws, committed 11 fouls and had 17 turnovers.
The Rockets are now 1-0 in District 7 play and 3-4 overall.
