Obituary: Adam J. Malinski

Adam J. Malinski, 97, died Wednesday, January 10, 2018, at Ava Maria Village, Jamestown, N.D. Services will be held in the spring with burial at Carrington Cemetery. Rev. Richard Biberdorff will officiate. Military Honors will be from North Dakota National Guard.

 Adam J. Malinski was born September 17, 1920, in New Home, N.D., the son of Joseph and Victoria (Friez) Malinski. He attended Lowery Township Country School and then attended Hieburn Consolidated School for two years Carrington High School for two years. He graduated in 1940, and in 1942 he enlisted in the Army Air Force. He trained as an Airplane Mechanic.

 Adam was united in marriage to LaVern Olive Hart on June 10, 1944, in Jamestown, ND. They raised four daughters.

 He was a board member for the Lowery Township and a member of the LLL for many years. He was a member of New Home German Lutheran Church. He was also a member of the American Legion for 50+ years.

 Adam is survived by his wife of 74 years, four daughters Sheila Foos, Billings, MT; Dianne (Bo) Bollen, Covina, CA; Gail (Ron) Marsolek, Jamestown; Pamela (Jimmy Ray) Twardy, Apple Valley, MN; bother Raymond Malinski; sisters Dodie (Christ) Graff, Jamestown, Helen Johnson, Billings, MT; Judy (Jake) Braunburger, Jamestown; and two grandsons.

 He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Raymond, Edward, and Chester; sisters Helen and May; and one grandson Joshua Adam Marsolek.
