Obituary: Teresa Jo Nathan

Teresa Jo Nathan, 38, Valley City, North Dakota, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Sanford on Broadway in Fargo, ND. Funeral services were held at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Valley City, on Tuesday, January 23. Internment will be at Hillside Cemetery, Valley City, in the spring. Memorials may be directed to Valley City State Foundation, where an endowment scholarship has been established.

Teresa was born to Brenda and Timothy Dooher on October 23, 1979 in Jamestown, ND. She attended various schools due to family moves, she graduated from Blaine (Minnesota) High School in 1998. Teresa attended and graduated from Valley City State University in December 2002, earning her degree in Business Administration.  

She married Chad Tangen in 2002.

Teresa was united in marriage to Jeff Nathan on October 22, 2016, in Bar Harbor, Maine, later making their home in Valley City.

She worked for Grotberg Electric, Valley City for five years and at Bank Forward. Teresa was an Administrative Assistant/Investment representative with Invest Forward since 2007.

She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, a board member of CHI Mercy Health Foundation and a former past president of the Ed Board at St. Catherine School.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents and her friend Sam Noeske.

Teresa is survived by her loving husband; her children, Grace and Andrew Tangen; her parents; her sister, Brooke and Nadeem Chaudhary, Egan, MN; her nephews and a niece; many aunts, uncles and cousins.
