Monarchs fly past Rocket girls

New Rockford-Sheyenne played a pretty good first half in the non -district girls basketball action played at Devils Lake on Saturday, January 13. During the second half Midway-Minto pulled ahead and the Monarchs defeated the locals by a final score of 64-37.

The Rockets had some trouble handling defensive pressure. Midway-Minto made 23 field goals, 18 of 32 free throws, committed 6 fouls and had 13 turnovers. New Rockford-Sheyenne made 16 field goals, 3 of 4 free throws, committed 23 fouls, and had 20 turnovers. The Rockets are now 6-6 overall.
