Student musicians represent NR-S at UND Honor Festival and All-State Music Festival

On January 19-21, six NR-S music students participated in the UND Honor Festival in Grand Forks. Micah Nicolai, Nick Hovey and Pieter Louters performed in the choir; and Jared Hartl, Sandra Larson and Cassidy Holth played in the band. They are pictured above.

Five musicians have also been selected to participate in the All-State Music Festival on March 22 - 24. Micah Nicolai, Nick Hovey, Pieter Louters and Kayden Wiedrich will sing in the concert choir and Jared Hartl will play tuba in the orchestra. They are pictured below. The All-State Concerts are open to the public and begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 24 at Hall D of the Bismarck Event Center.

Both festivals are open to students by audition, and only the best high school musicians are invited to participate.
