Rocket boys roll past Raiders

New Rockford-Sheyenne was in control for most of the game as the locals defeated Lakota by a final score of 75-38, in District 7 Boys Basketball action played at Lakota, on Friday, January 26. The Raiders are young and inexperienced as a team.

 All of the Rockets saw playing time and nine scored. The locals led throughout and at all quarter stops, 32-8, 52-19, 66-33 winning a key District 7 game on the road. Lakota made 15 field goals, 3 of 7 free throws, had 12 fouls, and committed 16 turnovers.

New Rockford-Sheyenne made 31 field goals, 7 of 9 free throws, had 9 fouls and committed 11 turnovers.  

Colton Berg and Jackson Neidlinger each had 10 points to lead Lakota. The Rockets had good balance. Hunter Thompson led all scorers with a varsity career high 20 points. Teddy Allmaras had 13 and Bo Belquist chipped in 10 points.

New Rockford-Sheyenne is now 4-1 in District 7 and 6-7 overall.
