The District #13 Knights of Columbus Free Throw Shoot Off was held Sunday, February 11 at the New Rockford High School Gym.
Area students who won their local contest were invited to the District Free Throw Shoot Off. District #13 includes the towns of Devils Lake, Lakota, Carrington and New Rockford.
There were 20 kids that shot free throws. New Rockford had 10 area winners, girls and boys ages 9 through 14, who participated in the shoot off. Each contestant shot 25 free throws.
The winners that will advance to the Regional Shoot Off in Valley City are as follows:
• Alivia Yri (NR-S), 9-year-old girls
• Ayden Hatzenbuhler (Devils Lake), 9-year-old boys
• Molly Hansen (Carrington), 10-year-old girls
• Kage Walford, 10-year-old boys
• Callie Schroeder (Devils Lake), 11-year-old girls
• Josh Bickett (Carrington), 11-year-old boys
• Kacie Rexin (Carrington), 12-year-old girls
• Grady Shipman (Carrington), 12-year-old boys
• Macey Wobbema, 13-year old girls
• Caleb Schneider (Devils Lake), 13-year-old boys
• Kayahna Hopfauf (NR-S), 14-year-old girls
• Evan Ulrich (NR-S), 14-year-old boys
The Regional Shoot Off will be held at Valley City High School on Sunday, February 25 beginning at 1:00 p.m. Winners at the regional contest will advance to the State Shoot Off in Bismarck.
