The New Rockford-Sheyenne Music Department hosted its 2nd Annual Talent Show on Thursday, March 15. The department raised nearly $1,000 at the potluck meal and talent extravaganza. Garret Schuster was the emcee for the event, which drew a range of talent. In the end the audience voted for its favorites, and Carli Lies was awarded first place for her vocals and ukulele. Eighth grader Janika McCorkle finished in second with her original piano solo. Rounding out the top three was the jazz quartet comprised of Jared Hartl, Pieter Louters, Gaius Arroyo and Micah Nicolai playing "I Get a Kick out of You."
