Martin and Eloise Lucht treated Jay and Heidi Schneider, Calen and Callie to dinner at the Spirit Lake Casino on Easter. Later they visited some more at the Schneider home in Devils Lake. They returned home in the light of the day.

Saturday afternoon, visitors at the Ken and Mavis Holte home were Jerrod and Angie Holte.

Wednesday, Shirley Packard was hostess to Kindred Sisters Bible study at her home.

Easter phone calls from brother Cory Birkholz, son Loren Holte and sister Ardy Yates, brought Easter joy to Ken and Mavis Holte. Ken and Mavis also gave daughter Fayette Hardy an Easter call.

Martin and Janelle Koepplin drove to Brainerd, Minn. Thursday, where they were Easter weekend guests at Trisha and Jay McConagle’s (daughter and son in law). Grandkids, Wylie and Zaylie were also there.

Wednesday evening, Calvin Packard drove his mother Shirley, to Devils Lake, where she boarded a train to St. Cloud, Minn., where daughter Cheryl Gabbert met her Thursday morning. Friday found Shirley, Cheryl and Dave Gabbert driving to Clear Lake, S.D., where they were guests at Cindy and Clark Tobben’s. Saturday, there was a gathering of family including: Connie, Evan and Nolan VanDineide, of St. Louis Park, Minn.; Dave and Cheryl Gabbert; Brandon, Christy, Cooper and Parker Schuda; Cindy, Zachary, Taylor, Chelsey and Kinlee Tobben, for a celebration of Mom, Shirley’s 80th birthday. Easter Sunday, all attended a church service at which Easter lilies were given in special recognition of several. Shirley was a proud recipient of one in honor of her 80th birthday by Clark and Cindy Tobben. Later Sunday, Shirley returned to St. Cloud with Dave and Cheryl and was happy to return home by train to Devils Lake where her son, Calvin met her. Shirley enjoyed her time with family over Easter to celebrate her special day.

Thursday, long-time friend of Ken Holte, Jeff Halvorson, was a visitor at the Holte home. The fellas went out for coffee and conversation.

Easter found guests at the David and Melony Allmaras ranch including: Terry and Sandy Koepplin, TJ, Alexandra, Piper ad Porter Koepplin; Candy Jensen; Wyatt and Cobey Allmaras; Gina and Cassidy Clifton.

Candy Jensen enjoyed Easter texts from Jerrod and Angie Holte; Derik and Val Holte and cousins Sebastian and Susie Pahl.

New Rockford and area folks extend sympathy to the family of Ted Gathman.
