Outdoor Notes:

*April 9: N.D. Game & Fish Dept. public advisory meeting, New Rockford Eagles, 7 p.m.

*April 10: Central Dakota Rocky Mtn. Elk Foundation Banquet, Jamestown. *April 16: N.D. Game & Fish Dept. public advisory meeting, Farmer’s Union Ins., 1415 12th Ave SE, Jamestown, 7 p.m.

Fishing:

*Devils Lake elevation, April 3: 1,449.73 feet above mean sea level (MSL).

*Stump Lake elevation: 1,449.69 MSL.

*Lake Sakakawea elevation: 1,839.39 MSL; 24,000 cubic feet per second average (CFS) Garrison Dam daily releases.

*N.D. Game & Fish Dept. Dist. game wardens: No reports from east-central area lakes. Devils Lake picking up a bit with a few more fish being taken. Ice remains good. Little activity on Lake Sakakawea, Missouri River or Lake Audubon.

*Devils Lake, Ed’s Bait Shop, Devils Lake: Work shallow structure in 6 to 10 feet on the main lake and northern lakes for walleye. A bit of an improving perch bite on the east end of Devils Lake. Try a variety of depths from 10 to 50 feet and move around.

*Devils Lake, Lakeview Lodge, Minnewaukan: A few anglers continue venturing out but overall success is still somewhat slow. Ice remains good.

*Devils Lake, West Bay Resort, Minnewaukan: No new reports.

*Devils Lake, Woodland Resort, Devils Lake: Lake Alice fair for walleye but limited activity on Devils Lake for both perch and walleye.

*Foster County area lakes, Dry Dock, Carrington: Area lakes remain quiet.

*Jamestown Reservoir, Pioneer Bait & Tackle, Jamestown: Little activity on area lakes, the river or Jamestown Reservoir.

*Jamestown Reservoir, Sooper Stop, Jamestown: Activity remains light on area lakes and Jamestown Reservoir.

*Lake Ashtabula, Bayshore, Valley City: Little activity and no new reports.

*Lake Sakakawea, Cenex Bait & Tackle, Garrison: Limited activity on Lake Sakakawea with difficult access. The few anglers out are finding some pike in east end back bays.

*Lake Sakakawea/Lake Audubon/Missouri River, Scott’s Bait and Tackle, Pick City: Limited activity on the Missouri River but the few anglers out are finding scattered walleye success down river with some activity from the wing walls. Look for some pike in the back bays of Lake Sakakawea, including Wolf Creek.

*Lonetree WMA area lakes, Harvey: Few and far between reports but those going on area lakes are still finding slow but sure success on most outings.

*Pipestem Reservoir, Pioneer Bait & Tackle, Jamestown: No new reports.

*Pipestem Reservoir, Sooper Stop, Jamestown: Limited activity.

*Spiritwood Lake, Pioneer Bait & Tackle, Jamestown: No activity.

*Spiritwood Lake, Sooper Stop, Jamestown: No reports.

Migration:

*Scout for snow geese with some around Tewaukon Nat’l. Wildlife Refuge and the Ludden area earlier. Weather and open sheet water will be key to getting birds to start moving.
