*April 21: Lake Region Longbeards chapter National Wild Turkey Federation banquet, Devils Lake KC Club, 5 p.m.

Fishing:

*Devils Lake elevation, April 10: 1,449.66 feet above mean sea level (MSL).

*Stump Lake elevation: 1,449.65 MSL.

*Lake Sakakawea elevation: 1,840.07 MSL; 28,000 cubic feet per second average (CFS) Garrison Dam daily releases.

*N.D. Game & Fish Dept. Dist. game wardens: A little flurry of perch activity on Stump Lake. Try Tolna Bay. Also try along the Woods-Routen Road, but otherwise success is somewhat slow on Devils Lake. Walleye remain slow, but the ongoing pike bite continues throughout the lake. Access remains okay, but ice conditions are beginning to vary. Watch shorelines along Lake Sakakawea with rising lake elevations. No reports on success.

*Devils Lake, Lakeview Lodge, Minnewaukan: Continued good pike success with scattered walleye activity but limited perch numbers.

*Devils Lake, West Bay Resort, Minnewaukan: No new reports.

*Devils Lake, Woodland Resort, Devils Lake: Most walleye activity is on northern feeder lakes such as Lake Irvine or the west end of Devils Lake. Good pike success throughout much of the lake, but perch remain stubborn.

*Foster County area lakes, Dry Dock, Carrington: Activity remains extremely limited on area lakes.

*Jamestown Reservoir, Pioneer Bait & Tackle, Jamestown: No new reports with limited activity.

*Jamestown Reservoir, Sooper Stop, Jamestown: Activity remains limited on Jamestown Reservoir and area lakes. Watch shorelines for mud and slush.

*Lake Ashtabula, Bayshore, Valley City: Limited activity.

*Lake Sakakawea, Cenex Bait & Tackle, Garrison: A few anglers venturing onto Lake Audubon with tracked vehicles or snowmobiles are enjoying some walleye success. Look for scattered pike success in the back bays of Lake Sakakawea, but tracked vehicles are needed to access the lake. Use caution when drilling holes with water coming up onto the ice. Watch for shorelines to start breaking away with rising elevations.

*Lake Sakakawea/Lake Audubon/Missouri River, Scott’s Bait and Tackle, Pick City: A few walleye biting down river on the Missouri River tailrace and wing walls, but not many anglers. No new reports from Lake Sakakawea, but watch ice conditions with water starting to break through along rising shorelines.

*Lonetree WMA area lakes, Harvey: No new reports with minimal activity on area lakes.

*Pipestem Reservoir, Pioneer Bait & Tackle, Jamestown: No reports.

*Pipestem Reservoir, Sooper Stop, Jamestown: Little activity.

*Spiritwood Lake, Pioneer Bait & Tackle, Jamestown: Not much activity.

*Spiritwood Lake, Sooper Stop, Jamestown: No reports.

Migration:

*Light geese: Birds remain hunkered-in farther south with the only reports of any brave ones venturing north are coming from far southeast N.D. along the S.D. border from Dickey to Richland County.
