Christy Schuda of Mounds View, Minn., called her mother, Shirley Packard, and informed her that Reed Weisenburger and seven other boys of the New Rockford-Sheyenne youth football team would be raking her yard as a Mother's Day gift, The task will be done Thursday.

Early Friday morning Calvin Packard drove Ervin Longnecker to a medical appointment in Devils Lake at the VA Clinic. Later they enjoyed breakfast at the Cedar Inn before returning home.

Late Sunday Shirley Packard got a phone call that son-in law Clark Toben of Clear Lake, S.D., was in the Watertown Hospital following an encounter with an angry mama cow that left him with broken ribs and collarbone. he is married to Shirley’s daughter Cindy.
