Black Sox roll past Thunder

Tucker Longnecker pitched a very good overall game and the bats came alive for SNR, as the locals defeated Medina-Pingree-Buchanan by a final score of 21-0 in the Region 3 high school baseball action played at Medina, on Friday, May 4.

SNR scored four runs in the first inning. Luke Ystaas knocked in two runs on a single to left. Nick Presnell knocked in one on a double to right. The other run scored as a result of a double steal. The locals added four more in the second. Longnecker knocked in a run on a single. Hunter Thompson knocked in a run on a single. Nathan Holzwarth knocked in a run on a single. The other run scored as a result of an error. The Black Sox came up with five runs in the third when Ystaas knocked in two runs on a single, Holzwarth knocked in one on a triple and Longnecker knocked in one on a double. The other was run scored as a result of an error. The Black Sox added another three runs in the fourth. Colter Soderholm knocked in a run on a single, Longnecker knocked in a run on a single and Ystaas knocked in a run on a double. In the fifth inning, SNR added five more runs. Longnecker knocked in four runs on a grand slam home run. Holzwarth knocked in a run on a single, and the locals came away with a 21-0 win. Longnecker retired 10 of the last 12 batters he faced.
