Cardinals Edge Black Sox in Region 3 game

Teddy Allmaras and Kyle Leapaldt each pitched well for their respective teams as Carrington Cardinals defeated the Sheyenne-New Rockford by a final score of 4-3 in Region 3 high school baseball action played at Carrington, on Monday, May 7. The Black Sox scored one run in the third. Johnny Grann doubled to right, with one out. Bo Belquist struck out with two outs, but reached base on a catcher's error. Grann eventually scored on a wild pitch.  

Carrington came up with two runs in the third. SNR scored two more runs in the fifth. Grann reached second base on an error with one out. Nathan Holzwarth and Belquist drew a walk. Colter Soderholm reached base on an error and two runs scored. Carrington scored two more runs in the fifth, and Carrington came away with a 4-3 win. Overall, it was a well-played game by

both teams. SNR is now 2-4 in Region 3 play and 2-6 overall.
