Readers of all ages will explore all things musical this summer as the Eddy-New Rockford Library presents the "Libraries Rock" summer reading program.
The 2018 Summer Reading Program is open to young people in kindergarten through 12th grade. Students in grades K-6 will read five books and do an activity, and youth in grades 7-12 will read six books to win a choice of a movie pass or a day pass for the swimming pool. There will also be a drawing for a prize at the end of summer.
The official kick-off will be held at the library on Friday, June 1 from 1-2:30 p.m. Activities include a craft project, photo booth and karaoke. Come dressed as your favorite rock star!
Youth who cannot attend the kick off can still sign up anytime after June 1 during normal library hours.
Keep an eye on the New Rockford Transcript for more information on summer reading activities, including a big closing party in August.
This summer the library has partnered with the Bank of North Dakota. Participants can win a 529 College Savings account. For more information about the BND partnership, go to http://www.newrockfordndlibrary.com.
