Les and Janet Laube met Jerry and Carol Clancy, Margie Anderson and Charlotte Koepplin at the Bird Dawg Café on Wednesday. All enjoyed visiting over dinner. Later, the Clancys placed flowers on family graves at Prairie Home Cemetery. The Clancys are from Thompson, N.D.
Wednesday, Shirley Packard treated Stanley and Connie Guler of West Fargo and Joan Prochnow of Fargo to lunch at the Rockford Café. The Gulers and Joan were in the area to tend to loved-one’s graves in honor of Memorial Day. Calvin Packard also enjoyed visiting over lunch.
Martin and Eloise Lucht attended Memorial Day Service at Old Church Theatre and then continued on to the VFW Program and turkey dinner at Ostby Hall in Sheyenne. Then it was to Devils Lake, where they spent some time with grandkids, Caleb and Callie, while parents Jay and Heidi Schneider attended several open house receptions honoring graduates from Devils Lake High School. The Luchts also tended to family graves at the Oberon Cemetery.
Thursday, Janine Anderson and Lillian Gedrose tended to family graves at the Prairie Home Cemetery. Saturday and weekend guests at Lillian’s were Gordon and Betty Schemke, of Bismarck, and Amy Gedrose of Fargo. All enjoyed a noon meal Sunday at the Ken and Denise Reis farm.
Friday, Candy Jensen accompanied Charlotte Koepplin to Prairie Home, Grace City and Carrington Cemeteries, where they place flowers on loved-one’s graves. They enjoyed burgers at the School House Café in Grace City.
Friday found Calvin Packard and his mother Shirley shopping in Carrington.
Memorial Day visitors and helpers at the Leo and Janet Laube home were grandsons Scott and Travis Laube from Fargo. Scott had his lab, Annie, along to get acquainted with the Laube’s Yip Yip. They got along fine. All enjoyed lunch at the Rockford Café.
Saturday, Jerome and Vida Klocke arrived by motorcycle at the Sharon Lesmeister home. They also were visitors at the Shirley Packard home, along with Calvin Packard.
Monday visitors at the Lillian Gedrose home were Burton and Jean (Nee Gedrose) Vrem from Valley City.
Cassidy Clifton is happy to be home and doing fine, as she recuperates from serious surgery she had May 18 at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis.
Monday stopper at the Leo and Janet Laube home was Marjean Pfau.
