Russell T. Hall, 44, New Rockford, N.D., formerly of Hermiston, Ore., passed away on Thursday, May 24, at his home. Funeral services were held May 30 at the Evangelical Free Church in New Rockford. Pastor Joe Greiner officiated and Erin Greiner provided special music. Urn bearers were his children Angelina and Theodore Hall and John Bullock. Honorary bearers were all of his nieces and nephews.
Hall was born on April 16, 1974, in Honolulu, Hawaii. The oldest son of Gary and Roma (Huff) Hall. He grew up in Baker, Ore., before moving to Hermiston in 1984. He attended school in Baker and Hermiston, graduating from Hermiston High School in 1992. Later he attended ITT Technical Institute and graduated in 2002.
He was united in marriage to Heather Lund on September 6, 2008, in Umatilla, Ore. In 2016, they moved their family to New Rockford for a job opportunity and to be closer to Heather's family. Hall worked in retail for 14 years before he took a position at Dakota Growers Pasta Plant, where he found work he truly loved as a machine operator.
He was a member of New Rockford Evangelical Free Church, where he ran the soundboard for services.
Hall is survived by his wife; his two children; his parents, Hermiston, Ore.; brother Travis (Andrea) Hall, Redmond, Ore.; sister Stephanie (Andrew) Walchi, Hermiston Ore.; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Russell and Grace Hall; maternal grandparents, Theodore and Lois Huff; and aunt, Inez Andreas.
