Belquist places in triple jump at N.D. Class B State Track Meet

The New Rockford-Sheyenne (NR-S) boys and girls track team brought the season to a close at the North Dakota Class B Track Meet in Bismarck on May 25 and 26.

The highlight for the Rockets was Bo Belquist's seventh place finish in the triple jump with a distance of 42-2. NR-S scored 2 points total, both from Belquist.

The top 10 teams in the boys division were Dickinson Trinity with 80 points, Kindred 57, Hillsboro-Central Valley 55, New Town 50, Watford City 48.5, Des Lacs-Burlington 45, Edgeley-Kulm 35, Milnor-Wyndmere-Lidgerwood 30, Bowman County 29 and Stanley 24.

New Rockford-Sheyenne did not have any placers in the girls division, but the boys and girls had very good overall seasons.

The top teams in the Class B girls division were Hazen 65, Hillsboro- Central Valley 57, Park River-Fordville- Lankin 50, Rugby 49, Dickinson Trinity 49, Killdeer 42, Thompson 38.5, Watford City 32, Milnor-Wyndmere-Lidgerwood 24, Enderlin-Maple Valley 21.75.
