Tucker Longnecker pitched a good overall game for the locals and the New Rockford American Legion Post 30 Black Sox came from behind to defeat Kidder County by a final score of 5-4 in nine innings, in non-sectional American Legion Baseball action played at Steele on Tuesday, June 5.
Game one
Kidder County plated three runs in the third. The Black Sox scored three runs in the fifth. Bo Belquist knocked in two runs on a single. Seth Soderholm knocked in another run on a single. Kidder County scored their final run of the game in the fifth.
Post 30 scored one run in the sixth. Tyrus Smith doubled with one out and scored on an infield out by Longnecker. New Rockford scored the game-winning run in the ninth. Hunter Thompson drew a two out walk. He scored on a single by Bo Belquist. Kidder County went down in order in the ninth and Post 30 won a thriller.

Game two
The New Rockford Post 30 Black Sox scored their only run of the game in the first. Bo Belquist drew a leadoff walk and he eventually scored on a passed ball. Kidder County scored 11 runs in the third, and thus defeated Post 30 by a final score of 11-1. The game was shortened to three innings due to the 10-run rule. New Rockford is now 3-1 overall.
