Lezlee Thorson visited her parents, Lester and Jackie Roberts on Saturday.

Sunday visitors at the Roberts’ home were Roger Roberts and Bob Hoffart.

James, David and Bonnie Nelson enjoyed supper at The View at the Spirit Lake Casino Wednesday.

Gene Wooley visited James on Friday.

On Father’s Day, James, Carrie and Jack Baker, Jean and John Baker, Austin and Harper Van SteenVort, Dave and Bonnie Nelson, Garrett Baker and his friend Kelsie all enjoyed supper at Applebee’s in Devils Lake.

Howard and Helen Schmid traveled to Minneapolis on Tuesday to visit Helen’s sister, Leonora Thomas, who is a resident of the Farmstead Retirement facility.

The Schmid’s also visited Helen’s nephew, Mark Heilman and his wife, MaryBeth at their home in Coon Rapids, Minn.

Mimi Taylor is also a resident at the Homestead Facility so Howard and Helen enjoyed a visit with her.

The Schmid’s returned home on Friday.

Howard and Helen attended church services at Grandfield Church, rural Sheyenne on Sunday.

Monday through Thursday, Patty Hegland visited her mother, Emily Stadheim, at her home in Hettinger. They enjoyed a drive through several area communities, stopping at the site of the country church they once attended along with other special sites. They also enjoyed visiting many family members and friends in the area.

Saturday afternoon, Rosa and Emma Zietz celebrated their 4th birthday at their home near Horace.

Guests were given the opportunity to feed and pet the sheep and various species of poultry, play on the new play set and explore the outdoor playhouse and yard. But, the most enticing activity for the preschool set was definitely the two water puddles that nature just installed in the yard that morning.

Grandparents, Jarvis and Patty Hegland, were among the adult guests enjoying the children’s fun as well as adult conversation and lots of snacks.

Sunday, the Zietz family hosted a Father’s Day dinner for John and Myrta Zietz and the Hegland’s.

On the way back to Oberon, Jarvis and Patty stopped to visit Holly Zieman in Carrington.

Dave and Linda Madson were in Grand Forks on business Thursday.

Sunday evening, the Madson’s and Melodie Watt and Kennedee and McKenzee had supper at Applebee’s in Devils Lake to celebrate Father’s Day.

Last Sunday, Betty Rushfeldt and her sister, Sharon Rance attended services at St. Olaf Church in Devils Lake. Following services, Betty enjoyed lunch at a Devils Lake restaurant. While there, she had a surprise visit with a former piano/organ student, Ron Omoth, formerly of Bremen.

Sunday evening, Betty and Sharon had supper with Fred and Luella Rance at their home.

Betty also had the privilege of visiting with another guest, Heather Nicholson and her daughters, Sarah and Aubrey of Scottsdale, Ariz.

Betty and Marlene Hendrickson did some shopping and had supper in Devils lake one day last week.
