Obituary: Terrance Van Lith

Terrance P. "Terry" Van Lith, 70, of New Rockford passed away on Monday, July 9, 2018 at his home in New Rockford. The funeral was held July 13 at St. John's Catholic Church with burial in St. John's Catholic Cemetery, New Rockford. Father Reese Weber officiated and special music was provided by Annette Hovey. Honorary bearers were: Mike Williams, James Dockter Sr., Scott Reis, Terry Koepplin, Paul Lies and Mike Lies.

Terry Van Lith was born on July 20, 1947, in New Rockford to Peter and Dorothy (Fischer) Van Lith. He attended school at St. James Academy in New Rockford.

He worked at the Swift turkey plant, Log Cabin Liquors, the bison processing plant, and the park board before he started his ordeal with cancer.

He is survived by the "love of his life," Beverly Koepplin, New Rockford; son Shawn, Fargo; two sisters, Mary Ann Lies, New Rockford, and Delores (John) Swanson, Elk River, Minn.; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mike and Jackie Williams, New Rockford; and many nieces and nephews.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, James and Peter.
