A meeting of the congregation of Calvary Lutheran Church in Oberon will be held following services on Sunday, July 22.

Pam and Jakob Schmid helped with 4-H Achievement Days in Maddock Friday and Saturday.

Tom and Pam treated Howard and Helen Schmid to the Fort Totten Little Theatre Production, (Big Fish, the Musical) on Saturday night.

Carlyle and Dianne Nelson of Newtown, CT are currently visiting James Nelson and other relatives and friends.

Lester Roberts was in New Rockford on business Tuesday. Wednesday, Lester and Jackie attended a picnic at the Heartland Care Center in Devils Lake.

Craig and Sandy Poulsen visited the Roberts’ on Thursday.

Saturday, Lester and Jackie traveled to Rugby to join Jean Olson, June Sabbe, Roger Roberts and other family and friends to celebrate Delores Stack’s 90th birthday. A belated birthday for Roger was also celebrated.

Chad Getscher was a Sunday visitor at the Roberts’ home.

Charlotte Simon and Rachael Markestad were in Fargo on Monday to return stage curtains and some equipment for the Opera House in Maddock.

On Wednesday, Terry Peterson Linehan treated Charlotte and Sue LaFleur to lunch at her home.

Wednesday night, Charlotte and Rod Maddock picked eight gallons of Juneberries at a farmstead near Knox, which is Charlotte’s hometown.

Charlotte spent most of the day Thursday at a Midget Baseball Tournament in Harvey. She was there to watch grandsons, Easton and Jaxon, who were participants.

Friday, Charlotte judged the 4-H Cloverbuds Division Statics at the Benson County 4-H Achievement Days in Maddock.

Friday evening, Randy and Charlotte had supper with friends, Jim and Anna Olson of Fargo and Brad and Deb Hovland at Harriman’s in Maddock.

The Simon’s went to Grand Forks on Saturday to help daughter, Heidi, celebrate her 30th birthday.

Sunday evening, Randy and Charlotte were supper guests at Lee and Amy, Easton and Jaxon Simon’s home.

Friday evening, Todd and Nadley Buehler visited at the Tweten farm for the annual Tweten family reunion.

Todd and Nadley, Beau, Bria and Hunter attended the wedding of Bryce Knaust and Cydney Hasselberg in Fargo on Saturday. Beau and Bria were in the bridal party.

Joining them from Bismarck were Joe Wentz, Michael Pacheco of Watford City, and Elisa and Breana Buehler.

Sunday afternoon, James Nelson and Carlyle and Dianne Nelson stopped by for a visit at the Buehler farm.

Howard and Helen Schmid visited the Tweten family at the Tweten reunion on Saturday.

Carrie Madson was a weekend guest at her sister, Melodie Watt’s home. Dave and Linda Madson joined them for lunch and supper Saturday.

Dave, Linda, Kennedee and McKenzee attended the Tuesday evening band concert by the Elks Band at the Arts in the Park in Devils Lake. The girls went on the horse drawn wagon ride and also played in the park.

Jake, Amanda, Fallyn and Piper Hegland took in the Sheyenne rodeo during the Fourth of July celebration. Tuesday, July 3, Amanda’s parents, Terry and Nancy Weischedel came to visit the family and spend the Fourth of July. They brought ponies for Fallyn and Piper. I am guessing that caused a bit of excitement. Jake and Amanda entertained with a barbecue at their home on July 3. July 4, the group enjoyed the parade in Sheyenne and the stone pit barbecue. July 5 and 6 were spent in Fargo for Piper’s medical appointments. Saturday, July 7, the family attended the parade and other activities in Maddock during the All School Reunion celebration.
