Lester Roberts attended the meeting in Oberon regarding the new school project on Wednesday.

Bobbi Duberowski of Parkers Prairie, Minn., visited her parents, Jackie and Lester, Saturday and Sunday.

Roger Roberts was a Saturday visitor at the Roberts’ home.

Chad Getscher visited Lester and Jackie Sunday evening.

Former Oberon/Minnewaukan resident, Don Knudson of Phoenix, Ariz., had a telephone visit with James Nelson Saturday evening.

Doris Griffin attended the new school meeting in Oberon on Wednesday.

Friday, Doris attended the meeting of the Middle Sheyenne River Watershed Grant in Hamburg at the elevator office there.

Doris has been at the farmers market in Sheyenne the past 3 weeks. It is held on Saturday and starts at 9 a.m.

Linda Madson kept a medical appointment in Devils Lake on Monday.

Thursday evening, Carrie Madson and Paul Prince, and Shawn and Cathy Caulfield of Jamestown were visitors at Dave and Linda’s home and Melodie Madson’s home in Devils Lake. Cathy and Shawn were camping at the Madson farm at Oberon and were here to cheer on their son, Brandon Caulfield of Jamestown. He was fishing in the Cabela National Walleye Tournament. He fished with Pro, Ted Takasaki on Thursday and Pro, Todd Kimpiner on Friday. He ended up in 10th place on the co-angler side with a two-day total of 33.48 pounds of very nice fish.

Dave, Linda, great granddaughters, Kennedee and McKenzee and Cathy and Shawn and Carrie Madson took in the weigh-in on Friday afternoon. Following the weigh-in, there was a short fishing safety session for the kids, after which they all received a rod and reel and a t-shirt. They could then practice casting and try to catch a plastic fish that were put out on the ground. They had a great time. A few lines ended up in the trees, but were rescued.

Saturday morning, Carrie and Cathy joined Melodie and Linda to look for bargains at several garage sales in Devils Lake.

Saturday evening, Dave, Linda, Melodie, Kennedee, McKenzee, Carrie, Paul, Shawn, Cathy, Craig and Sandy Poulsen and Steve and Sheila Breithaupt of Walla Walla, Wash., and Joni Duckworth of Gilby, were among the many friends and relatives who attended the wedding of Leah Poulsen and Tanner Nicholls. Leah is the daughter of Kinley Poulsen and Luana Buckmeier. Tanner’s parents are Brian and Nichol Bennes and Jeremy and Beth Nicholls. Pastor Natasha Woitzel-Kolles officiated, Luana was the pianist and Jared Kolles and Nancy Abrahamson sang. It was a beautiful day and evening and a lovely wedding. Congratulations to Leah and Tanner.

Craig and Sandy hosted a family get-together at their home on Sunday afternoon. Attending were, Steve and Sheila (Poulsen) Breithaupt, Kinley Poulsen, Dave and Linda, Melodie, Kennedee and McKenzee, Carrie and Paul, Shawn and Cathy, Joni and Mitchel, Elisha, Stephen and Brinlee Poulsen. There was a lot of visiting, eating, laughing and game playing.

Nadley and Todd Buehler met Tom and Val Olson for supper in Devils Lake Thursday. Pastor Natasha, Ruby and Ellis visited Todd Thursday afternoon. Elisa Buehler spent the weekend at the Buehler farm.

Friday afternoon, Sherry Boehmer, Carol and Barb Fossum visited Nadley.

The family celebrated Nadley’s birthday Friday evening.

Saturday evening, the Buehler family celebrated Beau Buehler’s birthday.

Elisa, Bria and Nadley attended the farewell service for Pastor Natasha and family in Sheyenne on Sunday. The Hegland’s also attended the farewell service at First Lutheran in Sheyenne Sunday morning. It was Pastor Natasha Kolles’ last service before moving to Minot to accept a new call.

Last Thursday, Amanda, Jake, Fallyn and Piper Hegland were in Fargo for Piper’s medical appointments. The family went on to Minneapolis following her appointments where they took in the Children’s Museum, the aquarium and Canterbury Park.

Monday evening, the Hegland’s went to Carrington and visited Holly Zieman.

Friday, Fallyn, Piper and Amanda met some friends in Maddock Park and played.

Mike and Jill Zietz and their children, Emma, Rosa, and Silas along with Patty and Jarvis Hegland joined them for supper and breakfast.

Patty Hegland visited her mother, Emily Stadheim in Hettinger Tuesday through Friday this week.

Saturday, the Hegland’s were camping at Graham’s Island State Park. They also went swimming and celebrated Fallyn’s third birthday. Jarvis and Patty joined other family members at Graham’s Island for granddaughter, Fallyn Hegland’s birthday celebration.
