Prairie Jubilee event rescheduled

The Eddy County Historical Society decided Sunday to reschedule its Prairie Jubilee event and military exhibit unveiling due to 100 degree heat and smoke in the air from Canadian wildfires.

The event will now be held Sunday, Aug. 26 from 1 - 4 p.m. at the Museum. Musicians Bonnie Deegan and Marcie Grohs of *Dakota Blende* will provide music throughout the afternoon. There will be delicious snacks as well as desserts to enjoy and sack races and kite flying for the kids. Confirmed speaker will be Calvin Packard, who will share some little known military history. The museum's Eddy County themed Historically Great Coffee blends will also be available for sample and sale.

This is the museum's only fund raising event for the season, so please plan to attend and support historical efforts in our community. All proceeds go towards capital improvements of the museum's buildings.
