Troy Woodrow, of Chicago, stopped by the Sheyenne Senior Center Friday, Aug. 3, to visit with his aunt Jan Loe on his way to Minnewaukan for a Woodrow Family Reunion. The Woodrow’s gathered at Bud's Place in Minnewaukan for an impromptu family reunion hosted by Brian and Pam Hill, Jim and Marjean Woodrow and Jan Loe on Saturday. It was a fun time getting reacquainted with cousins and their families.

Jeff and Denise Labrensz recently spent a few days camping at Stump Lake along with some boating and fishing. The fishing wasn't the best, but the weather was sure nice to be out on the water.

Aug. 3, Jeff and Denise Labrensz enjoyed supper at the Bistro before attending an awesome performance of Forever Plaid at the Old Church Theatre in New Rockford.

On Saturday, Jeff Labrensz spent the day carving with a group at the New Rockford Park hosted by Ken Throlson. Denise spent time with Marlys Throlson and other ladies that had husbands in the group of carvers, visiting and helping to get the lunch together for the whole group. An enjoyable time was had. The group appreciates Ken and Marlys for hosting this event again.

Patti Clifton returned home Aug. 8 after spending two weeks in Sun Prairie, Wis., at the home of Rance and Jena Brown.

Friday evening, Patti Clifton and Jan Loe made a quick trip to Carrington. Jan delivered some juneberries and also did some recycling. After a quick stop at the grocery store, they returned to Sheyenne.

Steph Loe and Jan Loe went to Minot with Jared Kolles and Elis on Aug. 11 to move the rest of the Kolles' belongings to their new home.

On the way home from Minot, Steph and Jan stopped into Bud's Place in Minnewaukan to visit Jim and Marjean Woodrow, Brian and Pam Hill and Bryce, all from Grand Forks; Justin and Christine Hill from Colorado; and Matt Hill and children from Minneapolis.

The Eddy County VFW Auxiliary will hold their annual membership meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 4, at 6:30 p.m. The evening will begin with a potluck meal followed by a meeting. Later, games and visiting will be enjoyed by the ladies.
