Howard and Helen Schmid returned last Sunday from a trip to Norway. While there, they were guests of friends, Ron and Ingrid Alfstad. Howard and Ron were classmates when they attended country school together.

Russell and Delores Hopkins visited James Nelson on Sunday. James also had a phone conversation with his brother, Mayo Nelson who lives in Aloha, Ore., on Sunday. Mayo is still riding his bike every day. He must have a lot of miles on that bike.

Nadley Buehler visited Elisa and Breana Buehler in Mandan last Sunday afternoon and evening. While there, they visited Joe Wentz and his family in Bismarck. Nadley also enjoyed a shopping day Monday.

Gail Risovi visited Todd and Nadley on Tuesday afternoon. Gail also got a tour of Beau and Bria Buehler’s home. Todd and Nadley and Beau and Bria celebrated Hunter Buehler’s birthday at the farm Saturday afternoon. Hunter returned to NDSU for his senior year Saturday evening.

Friday night, Jake, Amanda, Fallyn and Piper had supper in Devils Lake. Amanda and the girls met Amanda’s parents and brother and sister-in-law in Jamestown on Saturday to help her brother and his wife move into their home in Jamestown. Her brother has the new job as Director of Strength Conditioning and Campus Wellness at the University of Jamestown. Saturday evening, the girls went swimming at the hotel.

Lester Roberts was in Carrington and New Rockford on business on Monday. Saturday morning visitors at Lester and Jackie’s home were Arlene Keister of Whitefish, Mont., and her son, Kenneth from Oregon and Raymond Peterson and his wife, Vicki of Fargo.

Saturday afternoon, Jean Olson, June Sabbe, Delores Stack and Lezlee Thorson served lunch to the Peterson family at the Community Center in Oberon following a family burial service at the Oberon Cemetery.

Dave and Linda Madson enjoyed a phone visit with their son, Stacy from Ranchester, Wyo. Stacy works for the Padlock Ranch headquartered in Dayton, Wyo. He was baling hay a month ago and he is still baling, and hoping to be done soon since the corn is soon ready to be chopped. Everything involves huge numbers at the ranch.
