60th Steam Show opens Sept. 21

The Board of Directors of Central North Dakota Steam Thresher's Association invites everyone to the 60th Annual Threshing Reunion September 21- 23 in New Rockford, N.D. The annual tractor ride is scheduled for Thursday morning, September 20.

This year's feature is sawmills and miniatures. In addition to those lines, several of the large steamer's shown in the photo above will also be on display, and will run in the Parade of Engines at 2 p.m. each day.  

A wide variety of activities will take place over the three days and include threshing, potato picking and plowing with gas tractors and steamers. Many different lines of equipment/tractors are on display as well as the featured miniatures and sawmills. Other activities include woodcarving, Morse Code, Prony Brake, food vendors, craft show, flea market, a 4-H Roast Beef Dinner and a Memorial Church Service. The Cook Car breakfast is always popular.

The kid's pedal pull is held Saturday morning and the big boy's tractor pull is Saturday afternoon.

Pioneer village has tours of the schoolhouse, Tiffany Hall, and Brinsmade Post Office and Church. The Cooper building gives a glimpse into life in homes years ago. The new blacksmith shop has demonstrations on ironwork.

Music will include an Old Time Dance Friday evening, Tiffany Flats for two shows Saturday afternoon and The Geiger Brothers on Sunday. Saturday evening is the popular talent show.
