New Rockford Chamber to host Community Social

The time of year may be different, but the concept is the same. The New Rockford Area Chamber of Commerce has engaged member businesses and organized its second annual Community Social, set for Friday, Sept. 21 in New Rockford.

On one day only, many businesses throughout the community are hosting sales and specials to encourage shoppers to see what they have to offer. Others are planning special events or serving up treats, and some have secured space in the DPRCA Dance Studio to share their wares. Local residents and anyone planning a trip to New Rockford for the 60th Central North Dakota Steam Threshers Reunion are encouraged to pop into town and take it in!

There are plenty of opportunities to have a sweet treat. Community Credit Union is serving cheesecake and holding drawings for New Rockford Chamber Bucks, and the Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd is hosting a pie and coffee social from 1-2 p.m. at the 'Coffee Shop.'

Downtown, several businesses await you. Duchessa Gelato will be serving up treats during business hours at Bank Forward/Insure Forward. Central Pharmacy has a 20 percent off coupon on page B1, good to use on any one regular price gift item.
