Early voting starts this week

Applications mailed out last week; ballots to be sent beginning Sept. 27

Eddy County is encouraging voters to vote by mail this election. Those interested must complete and return the Absentee/Mail Ballot Application to the County Auditor’s office either by mail or in person in order for the Auditor to mail a ballot.

 Applications are available through the Secretary of State or on page B4 of the Transcript County Extra. Starting Thursday, Sept. 27, ballots will be sent to voters whose applications are received.

 For those who choose not to complete an application, polls will be open for the General Election on Tuesday, Nov. 6 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
