Joel and Braden Schmid of Fargo were weekend visitors at the home of Howard and Helen Schmid.

Keith and Nancy Tweten, Katie Dixon and family and Jared Tweten and family visited James Nelson the beginning of September. Jarvis Hegland visited James on Sept. 17. On Sept. 19, Lester Roberts visited James. Dick Evenson called on James Sunday afternoon.

Janice Ferry visited Lester and Jackie Roberts on Saturday. Sunday, Lezlee Thorson and Bob Hoffart visited the Roberts. Roger was also a Sunday afternoon visitor and Chad Getscher visited the Roberts Sunday evening.

Howard and Helen, Doug and Parker, Joe and Braden, and Tom and Pam Schmid enjoyed supper at The Cove on Friday evening.

Doris Griffin demonstrated carving at the Steam Threshers Show in New Rockford on Friday and Sunday. Saturday, Doris had her old time washing machines displayed at the Rural Renaissance Festival in Maddock. Doris’ daughter, Donna Jacobs and her husband, Tim of Omaha, Neb., arrived at Doris’ home on Sunday to spend some time with her this next week.

Keith Hendrickson, and his son, Reed and his wife, Taylor, all of Bismarck, spent the weekend at the home of Keith’s mother, Marlene Hendrickson in Oberon.

Last Sunday, Linda Madson and Carrie Madson accompanied Melodie, Kennedee and McKenzee Madson to Jamestown. The group were overnight guests of Shawn and Cathy Caulfield. Monday, Kennedee kept an orthodontist appointment. The Madson’s all returned home on Monday. Dave and Linda took in the Steam Threshers Show in New Rockford on Saturday. Those great old steam engines keep on showing up each year and do the threshing and plowing. What a blessing they were to the pioneers. The Madson’s were overnight guests of Carrie Madson and Paul Prince at the Madson farm.

Last Saturday, Jake, Amanda and Fallyn Hegland attended the Bison football game.

Piper spent the day with Grandpa Jarvis and Grandma Patty Hegland.

This weekend, Jake, Amanda and Fallyn Hegland, Amanda’s parents, Terry and Nancy Weischedel, Amanda’s grandma, Dorothy Lamb of Onida, S.D., and Amanda’s nephew, Dylan Alexander, all helped Piper celebrate her first birthday. Her party was on Saturday. Happy birthday, Piper.
