Betty Rushfeldt was a recent overnight guest at her sister Sharon Rance’s home in Devils Lake. Betty and Marlene Hendrickson were in Devils Lake on Thursday to do some shopping and enjoy an evening meal together. Sharon visited Betty on Saturday.

Carlyle Nelson of Newtown, Conn. is spending time with his dad, James. Carlyle will be returning to his home on Tuesday.

Justin Roberts visited his parents, Lester and Jackie, on Wednesday.

Thursday, Chad Getscher visited the Roberts. Another Thursday visitor was Mary Keeling of Devils Lake.

Marie Bosch, Kay McKelvey and her sister, Carrie Bernier visited Lester and Jackie on Friday. Roger visited on Saturday.

Sunday callers at the Roberts’ home were Marie Bosch, Charlotte Barney and Chad Getscher .

Friday evening, Linda Madson and great granddaughter, Kennedee, enjoyed the Community Concert Association presentation, “Swing Your Strings” by Doug Cameron. He is one of the true innovators of jazz violin. He has recorded and performed with a wide range of artists. He was accompanied by pianist, Bryan Pezzone who has recorded on hundreds of television and motion picture soundtracks. He has also been the pianist on virtually all of the cartoons released by Warner Brothers and Disney.

Kennedee was especially impressed when Doug Cameron came down into the audience and played directly to her twice.

Dave and Linda went to Minot to the Hostfest on the Western State Bank bus on Saturday. Treats were handed out on the bus ride there and back. Of course, there was a wide variety of foods to choose from as well as great entertainment on the various stages at the Hostfest.

Our group went to the very talented 13 year old ventriloquist, Darci Lynn and Friends.
