Rockets take down Bears

The first quarter was somewhat of a struggle for the New-Rockford Sheyenne (NR-S) Rockets, but they played well after that and delivered a 50-12 win over the Larimore Bears in Region 2 9-man football action played at Larimore on Sept. 28. A very good crowd of Rocket fans were on hand.

NR-S led 8-6 after one stanza, 28-6 at halftime, 36-6 after the third stanza and cruised on to a final score of 50-12. Defensively, Joey Gray, Luke Ystaas, Hunter Johnson and Tucker Longnecker all played very well. As has been the case throughout the season the offensive line played well.

The Rockets improve to 4-0 in Region 2 and 7-0 overall. The first round of the 9-man playoffs begins on Oct. 13.
