Obituary: Dale Linderman

Dale Linderman, 94, of Carrington, N.D., died Oct. 16, 2018 at Golden Acres Manor. Visitation will be Monday Oct. 22 from 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. at Evans Funeral Home in Carrington. Funeral services will be Tuesday, Oct. 23, at 10:30 a.m. in the Federated Church UCC/UMC in Carrington. Burial will follow at the Carrington Cemetery. Rev. Rick Loewen will officiate and special music will be provided by Clara Edwardson and Daniel Florhaug. Casket bearers will be Tana Olson, Derek Blestrud, Kya Schroeder, Reid Loessberg, Jessica Eastman, Matthew Florhaug, Daniel Florhaug and Ross Florhaug.

George "Dale" Linderman was born March 21, 1924 in Wells County to George and Christine (Valer) Linderman. He graduated from Carrington High School in 1942.

Dale was united in marriage to Jean Hanson at the Federated Church parsonage Sept. 1, 1946. He was a member of the Federated Church in Carrington serving on the church board. He served on the Birtsell school and township boards and as an assistant boy scout leader. In 1958 Dale received the Oustanding Young Farmer award. He served in the North Dakota State House of Representatives from 1963-1966, 1969-1974 representing District 14.

Dale is survived by his children: son Kent, Sykeston, N.D.; daughters Georgia (Roger) Blestrud, Tioga, N.D.; Monica Linderman and Roxanne Linderman both Belgrade, Mont.; Nadine (Roger) Florhaug, Kensal, N.D.; sister Phyllis Lura, Carrington; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents, wife, and sister Maxine.
