Northern plains electric announces 2019 scholarship program

Northern Plains Electric Cooperative is one of 141 Basin Electric Power Cooperatives offering a $1,000 scholarship for the 2019-20 academic year. Eligible applicants must be dependents of a Northern Plains Electric Cooperative consumer and be enrolling as a college freshmen in fall 2019.  

 Scholarship recipients will be chosen based on a combination of SAT/ACT scores, overall grade-point average, work experience, participation in school and community activities. A personal statement of career goals, a written recommendation by a third party and an essay describing how a cooperate can build a culture to best serve its members are to be submitted with the application.

 Scholarship applications for the 2019-20 academic year must be postmarked by Jan. 31, 2019. Winners will be announced in March.
