Chamber of Commerce calls for groups to help light up Centennial Park

It's time again to light up Centennial Park for the Christmas holiday!

The New Rockford Area Chamber of Commerce has announced its second annual tree lighting contest and is seeking a decorator for each of the 21 trees in the park.

To participate, reference the map to the left and choose a tree to light. Place your claim as soon as possible at Miller's Fresh Foods by putting your name next to the number corresponding to your tree on the map any time during business hours. Hurry in, because if you wait too long, your tree might be taken!

Then get a group, family, business or group of friends together and make that tree shine with lights, and you could win $25 in Chamber bucks to spend at local businesses and a traveling trophy to display.

Trees must be decorated by Sunday, Nov. 25 so the park will be lit up for Winterfest Week, beginning Nov. 26, when judging takes place. The winning trees will then be featured in the Dec. 3 issue of the "New Rockford Transcript" and on the Chamber's Facebook page.
