Hunting:
*Pheasants: A few more birds showing up in pockets around portions of central and west-central N.D. with corn harvest winding down.
*Waterfowl: Look for more bird movement in the Devils Lake area with colder weather. Not much for duck numbers but good numbers of snow geese. They’re mostly adults, however, and are tough to decoy. Massive flocks of snow geese were around Arrowwood Nat’l. Wildlife Refuge earlier in the week. Water starting to ice over in far northeast N.D. and local birds moved out. Some Canada goose success in the north-central part of N.D. Most ducks moved out. Good waterfowl numbers around Lonetree Wildlife Management Area and central N.D.
