Allmaras family honored at 45th Harvest Bowl

This year's Harvest Bowl, held on Nov. 2 at North Dakota State University, recognized the success, dedication and hard work of outstanding agriculturalists from 61 counties in North Dakota and Minnesota.

Tim and Judy Allmaras, of New Rockford, were the Eddy County couple recognized. They have been farming for more than 40 years on a fourth-generation farm near New Rockford. They have 150 cow-calf pairs and raise a variety of crops such as edible beans, soybeans, corn, wheat, sunflowers and alfalfa using conventional-tillage, limited-tillage and no-till farming practices.

Other area farmers recognized at the Harvest Bowl include Kevin and Jennifer Wolsky of Carrington; Mark and Sarah Ressler of Binford; and Randy and Jeanne Schaley of Niagara.

To date, the Harvest Bowl program has recognized 2,700 agriculturists in 53 counties in North Dakota and 10 counties in western Minnesota.
